torvergata | TACO 2020 Conference Rome

The Facoltà di Lettere e Filosofia of the University of Rome Tor Vergata had distinguished itself for historical, philosophical and literary studies.

The University of Rome Tor Vergata was established in 1982 and rapidly rose to distinction, in Italy and Europe for its vibrant intellectual life and outstanding scientific productivity. “Tor Vergata” was created with the dual goal of providing high-quality education and first-rank research in the sciences and the humanities.

Located in South-Eastern Rome, between the Cinecittà area – the hub of the flourishing film industry of the ’50s and ’60s – and the surrounding hills (“I castelli romani”), the university combines a young but already solid tradition in the liberal arts and a massive investment in scientific, especially medical, research, with the “Policlinico ‘Tor Vergata’” being one of the most important university hospitals in Italy.
