Travel authorities and visas

European Union citizens do not require a Visa to travel to Italy.
All foreigners intending to enter Italy must provide the documentation required to justify the reasons for and duration of their stay, as well as, in some cases, the availability of adequate economic means and lodging.
Application for a visa can be made at the Italian Diplomatic and Consular Representations in your country of residence.

With the service EMERGENCY 112, every emergency or rescue phone calls (Police, Fire fighters and also Medical emergency) converge to the number 112. A multilingual service is available online from network and from mobiles.

Currency

The official currency is the Euro (€). You will find several change offices and banks at the airports and in the city centre. Banks are open on working days, generally between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. Before changing your money, we advise you to ask about the commission charge. You can also withdraw cash at the ATM.
